This project was a complex rewire with a client passionate about lighting design who wanted clean ultra-modern design to compliment the interior aesthetics with a maximum of client control. The complex project was also to be carried out whilst the homeowner and family lived at the property, so customer relations, project management, planning and working to timescales were paramount.
The project began with a total demolition of the ground floor garage and workshop and dance studio with walls being taken down and small windows being made into large windows or patio doors, to create a large bright family living space.
A bespoke kitchen and family cinema room with automated blinds and a drop down ceiling HD projector was installed, the existing staircase was repositioned with a temporary unit for the work to continue the infrastructure of lighting themes and power outlets was installed at this point along with the smart Audio Visual system to each room for high definition signal distribution with 7.1 digital quality sound system per zone all controlled remote from a iPad.
The next stage of the project was the renovation of the first floor with again walls being removed and natural light being thrown in through the panoramic south facing window, the open plan living space was then designed to include a functional family living space with soft furnishings with the lighting installed over specific bits of furniture to enhance the features at night time, underfloor heating was also installed with a multi zone wifi controlled thermostatic system, so each zone in the property is set individually to the end users requirements.
